Amazing Time In Argentina and a Lot of Fun

Winter has just started… The mornings can be a bit chilly but in the afternoons the sun warms up the day. No matter the weather, it was a great time for a father and son trip: we welcomed Nick and his son Conner, and Elliott and his son Luke.

The group arrived at noon and went straight to the field to have some lunch and start the hunt. That first afternoon gave them no time to relax! The flock of birds covered the sky, which left all four of them speechless! It was a little bit windy and it made birds fly really fast and in all directions. It was a great way to practice difficult shots and to have a lot of fun!

All in all, each day was different and unique. The weather was great with sunny days. We went to different fields to give Nick, Conner, Elliott and Luke a complete Pointer Outfitters experience. For lunch, they enjoyed our traditional asados everyday at the field. Asado is one of the greatest traditions in our country where everyone gathers around the table and enjoys Argentinian beef, chicken, morcilla, chorizo and other meat cuts, which are grilled in a parilla. It is usually accompanied by salads and red wine.

They also learned about sobremesa, the tradition of relaxing at the table after a heavy and delicious meal. Afterwards, the groups usually took a nap in the hammocks  under the trees to get some rest before their afternoon hunts.

For their last day, they decided to skip the hunt to go on an ATV adventure in the Sierras de Córdoba!

The activity was organized by our Travel & Leisure department. The tour started in the morning and lasted the whole day: the group was picked up from the lodge early in the morning and continued until the afternoon. Riders went through native bushes, ancient hills and beautiful landscapes. They stopped to get some rest at noon and had lunch at a local restaurant.

The group went back home felling beyond grateful with everybody: their field assistants, the cook at the field and the cooking staff at the lodge.

And you… Would you like to be the next one?
