This past May, we received Bill and his wife, Sue. Both of them are accomplished hunters who have been married for 50 years, and have been hunting together for much longer than that. Although this was their first trip to Córdoba, they have already visited Paraná and Mendoza. They have also been to Bolivia, Paraguay and Nicaragua, where they wingshooted duck, dove and pigeons. Both of them are based in Ocklahoma, but they friends are from Dallas and experienced hunters as well. This time, they invited Roger and Leigh to join them.

Both couples stayed at La Loma lodge, a traditional estancia built in 1908 located in the town of Totoral. 

They hunted for three full days, and they were lucky because the weather was fantastic! You could tell how delighted they were with being at the field. They enjoyed the massages at the lodge, the lunches at the field, the red wine, the chimichurri… They were really grateful with the experienced of being here with us.

Since Sue is one of the women to have hunted five of the biggest animals in the world in two opportunities, from elephants and hippopotamus to lions, leopards and bisons in different parts of South Africa and Africa, the field assistants have a saying which was present for their whole stay, that if “Mama Sue happy, everybody happy”. She had a good laugh every time one of us kept on saying that!

As it was Roger and Leigh’s first time ever in South America, they decided to extend their stay in our country for a few more days, and after Córdoba, they travelled to Mendoza. They have planned to do the wine tour and to do some wingshooting there as well.
