Dove Shooting Report October 2013

We are in October with very warm days. Because the rainy season begins, after our last group left, we use the days off to clean the fields, roads and shooting positions; thus we can offer a better service to each and every guest.

At this time of the year, doves start to fly around 7:45 in the morning. A large number of groups of doves leave their roosts to search for food on an average of 50 km from their resting place. In these months, doves have to work harder to find food; this is because winter crops have finished and farmers are waiting for the first rains to start the sowing and summer labors.

The winter was very dry and until these last days of October, we haven’t had important rains. We hope the forecast of the next couple of days to be correct and we can have enough water to improve this situation.

In these last weeks, around 9:45 am, we notice several groups of doves that come looking for water. Pointer Wingshooting has in the spring fields and early summer months, a large concentration of doves, which gives us piece of mind because we have plenty of water.

Around 14:00, after a great Argentinian barbecue, we begin to see thousands of doves returning to their roosts. They fly over our northern countries, ensuring a memorable hunt. It is important to remember that from now on, we shouldn’t forget sunscreen, sunglasses and a hat or cap. In many cases, even a long-sleeve shirt could be useful.

October is a great month for those hunters who want to fire thousands of shots in different angles and heights. Our lands allow us to search for high shooting spots as well as places in the slopes where a huge volume of doves fly at reasonable lower heights, where everybody can practice his aiming.

We guarantee you a hunting experience like you’ve never imagined. Our main goal at Pointer Wingshooting is to achieve an incredible experience that allow our clients to go back to their countries and tell an unforgettable hunting trip with a group of people that are now their friends.

See you soon,
