Could Not Ask For a Better Trip

3 generations of a family all together to hunt doves in Cordoba. An awesome trip everybody should enjoy.

March 2019 was so exciting! On March 3rd at 7 a.m., Gerald, a 85 year-old guest arrived in Cordoba with his sons Michael and Steven, his grandson Michael and an old friend, Emil. We made a quick stop at the Jesus Maria Resort & Hotel so that they could take a nice shower after a long trip! After breakfast, we began our trip to the field. Mike Jr. was so anxious! It was his first hunting time in Argentina. He wanted to check by himself what we mean when we say that Cordoba is full of doves. And he did! His team already know what it is like here. This was their third visit to Argentina. He began the hunting a few minutes before lunch. When it was time, we took our seats. Our guests were shocked by such a good and abundant service! The asado was delicious. They loved it!

The second day we went to a field to the northwest of Jesus Maria. It was a rainy day, so we had to go to the hills because the flats are usually mudded during days like that one. One there, the fog make our vision a bit difficult, but they took it as a challenge. Emil and Steven shared a post, while Gerald was on his own. The doves went by very low and quickly. You could barely see them once they were very close. Anyways, the hunt was great! When it was lunch time, we went to Dean Funes, a city near the hunting field since the rain made it impossible to cook and eat outside. Our guest enjoyed a nice asado, particularly a cut called “bife de chorizo”. It is a juicy and tasty meat cut.

Back to the field, the hunt went on. After 1 hour, all our guests had changed their places so that they could share a moment and a good talk. It was a very special day!

The following and third day, we went very early in the morning to the flats near Jesus Maria. It was full of doves! Our guests couldn’t believe the great amount of birds we have in Cordoba. You really need to see it to believe it! They had some breaks during the hunt because there were many shots!

During that afternoon, we had a great surprise. Gerald, who we lovingly called papa, shot more than 500 shots! He was so happy. And so were we!

That day it was Emil’s birthday. We want to make some special for him, so Carla and Maru, their hostesses, were waiting us with a cake in the hotel! He really appreciated that wonderful detail!

The last day began at 8 a.m. We had to be early in the morning because we were hunting just during the morning, since they had their flight in the afternoon. It was an excellent end for and excellent trip! All of them shot more than 250 shots. They were very grateful with their field assistants; they got on very well! Steven promised us that they will be back in a near future, and he will bring his 2 sons too so that they can know what is like a hunt with Pointer Outfitters. We hope to see you soon!

YOU SHOULD BE THE NEXT ONE!
