Hunting in Argentina is awesome ALL YEAR ROUND. Indeed, there is not something like a "good/bad time to hunt." Any time of the year can be just perfect to visit us since million of doves live in the province of Cordoba on a permanent basis.

This family group from Texas landed in Cordoba on March 18th. We gave them a warm welcome and we drove them staight to the field, where they had a delicious lunch that Gaby Pedersini, our chef, had cooked.

Pat mentioned this was his first time in Argentina, and he had a lot of expectations. He had been told about how good the dove hunting was downhere, but now he was going to experience it firsthand.

Let me anticipate the end of their experience... the family explicitly said and agreed on the fact that Pointer Outfitters had exceeded their expectations! And we are really happy about that guys! We feel we have accomplish our goal.

Before it was already time to come back home, Pat sent Pablo a very nice message. We'd like to share with you guys his kind words: 

 

Hello Pablo,

I wanted to thank you for your gracious hospitality and the excellent treatment afforded to my family while in Argentina.   My family and I couldn’t be more pleased.  I could go on and on about all the excellent moments we had but instead I will summarize it this way;

Every one of us fees that this is far and away the best family vacation we have ever had.   We all want to return.  My daughter wants to live on a ranch there.  Every single Argentinian we met was gracious and compassionate.  There wasn’t a single thing we did that wasn’t an amazingly enjoyable experience.   Your staff and guides were beyond helpful.   All in all this was an amazingly good time and very therapeutic for my family to be together and share such wonderful experiences.  From Buenos Aires and tango,  to Cordoba dove hunting and horseback riding, to the amazingly beautiful El Chillen Casa and the staff there too.

Very big thanks to Vicky and Agustina for taking care of the lady’s.  You have two very special people working for you, they went to extremes to personally make sure Lee Ann and Cailyn enjoyed themselves.  Leo was an amazing gun boy anticipating every possible need I had.  Max and Augusto made my son’s Shane and Kevin laugh for 4 days straight dove hunting.  I think Kevin and Shane made them laugh too.  Kevin put a dead parrot in Augusto’s shell pouch when he wasn’t looking and took video of his reaction when he reached in for some shells. Priceless reaction.

Hugely big thanks to your brother Juan.   OMG he is one of the funniest and most thoughtful people I’ve ever met.  He had us all cracking up with laughter during the time he spent with us hunting in Pampa, and on the drive back to BA.   I really do hope to meet up with him again.  Too Funny!!!

I also owe the people from Catena a huge thanks.  What a great hunting experience we had with them.  First class outfitters and El Chillen was one of the most beautiful and tranquil places I have ever had the pleasure of visiting.   Nico and Mateo are great hosts and the guides there are the best I have ever experienced. 

I would love to return to Argentina one day in the not too distant future.  Maybe add fly fishing to my agenda.  Also, I’m now a huge Malbec fan thanks to Nico Catena!
