What a Wonderful Trip

February is my favorite month for dove hunting, and let me tell you why. The amount of birds is just unbelievable. This summer month is usually humid which means abundance of water for the birds making them move. The best destination this time of year is La Para roost.

We welcome our guests William, Brian, Josh, Thomas, and Sam.

Cordoba is one of the best places for dove hunting given the impressive amount of birds that come to the area from the milking yards, sorghum fields, and feedlots around. Our roosts are just in the heart of the area. Each hunting spot is under good shade to allow our guests enough comfort in this summer days both in the morning hunting session and afternoon. It is at this time of year that birds start making their way to the fields in the lower areas of the province. Our team includes experts who are constantly checking the shooting areas to notice any migratory movements and they also look for the best fields. In this trip, Gaby is our scout in charge of this.

Our daily program usually starts at 7.30 am when our guests are woken up. Breakfast is served at 8.00 and at about 8.30 we are all set to hit the road. Our guests are staying in La Loma Lodge, a famous Argentine Estancia that has been renovated in 2014 and it is now one of the most requested destinations for Dove Hunting in Northern Cordoba. This is an excellent private lodge providing superior service. La Loma’s staff, the delicious Argentine meals, as well as copious amounts of doves combine to make this a very memorable dove-shooting trip.

The hunting session in the morning usually starts when we leave La Loma Lodge and lasts till 12.3. At that time our chef Firloco has delicious meals ready. In this occasion, he is waiting for our friends with dove tacos for starters and then the famous Argentinian Asado together with the national signature sauce, the Chimichurri, also know as Chimichanga. After this lunch our guests usually go “I had never had so much meat in one meal in my life!” Of course some nap time is a must after that kind of lunch, so we hang comfortable hammocks and at 2.30 pm we’re ready to start our afternoon hunting session.

Let’s talk about the guns now. Our guests had the pleasure to use our brand new guns Benelli Montefeltro Cal 20.

They were surprised by their comfort when shooting more than two thousand shots a day. Satisfying our guests' requests is our signature. We are proud to offer a wide variety of guns, Beretta 391, 400, Beneli Montefeltro, Supersport, both caliber 20 and 12. The cherry on top of this variety is our brand new guns: Berettas cal 28 and 410 for those guests who request this caliber.

We also offer comfortable Mercedes Benz vans to take our guests to the shooting areas in the most relaxed way possible so that they can enjoy the experience the most.

There are non-hunting options to enjoy as well for those who do not wish to hunt every day. City tours around Cordoba City, horseback riding in the picturesque hills of our province, a golf lesson or playing golf just 30 minutes away from the lodge are some of the options for our guests.

When we get to the lodge we see Cilia waiting for us. She is the host for the day who will make our friends feel at home.

We hope to see you again!

You should be the next one!
